Empathy, selflessness, and support for the community were characteristics and values instilled in me at a young age. Thus, when learning about a community service organization called the Youth Advisory Council, I knew this would align with my values and be of my interest.The council was comprised of student representatives who focused on finding methods to solve issues within Riverside County's Fourth District. For two years I have had the privilege of being elected to serve as a member of the council, and in my final year, as the board's Parliamentarian. My Spanish upbringing and traditional hardworking father and mother, are a profound influence in my pursuit to be a daughter whom they can be proud of. Because I grew up watching my parents work so hard to provide for our family, at the age of 17 I found myself highly motivated to find a job. Though my resume initially did not consist any prior work experience, my innate ability to adapt to versatile situations and people, granted me the opportunity to work along influential mentors and customers. My eye for fashion and photography allowed me the opportunity to assist the Antique Galleries in marketing the company’s media page on Instagram in a way that made it attractive to younger generations. The skills I have acquired in the past year as a Sales Associate for the Antique Galleries of Palm Springs, and the retail chain Anthropologie, have ensured that I effectively learn how to provide all customers within any realm of business, with the best customer service.
