In America, many people think that if you are not white, there must be something wrong with you, so they treat you differently. When someone used to say “free person,” that usually meant only white men. Is that still true to this day? To someone people, yes it is. He goes through the phase of not wanting to have a good education. He ends up wanting to move to an all-white school, where no Indian would ever think of going. He is bullied and is given many dirty looks, but in the end he makes friends and they take care of him. When Junior first gets to the school he is the only Indian at Reardan, other than the mascot. He is told to leave because he doesn’t belong; just like on the reservation. Junior is a teenage boy who is different from everyone else on the reservation. He has big goals, but he is an outcast so nobody pays attention to him. When he moves and plays his first game against his old school, everyone thinks he is a traitor and “boos” him. He feels more accepted at Reardan than his home school. In the book “To Kill A Mockingbird,” equality compared to the present has changed. Back in the day, many people were racist against anyone who wasn’t white. They made African Americans slaves and treated them as if they weren’t supposed to be here. There is a point in time where enough is enough. Tom Robinson was accused of rape and it was so easy to convince everyone all because he was black. Two white “adults” lied just to get the innocent man put in jail. Although there is enough evidence to prove that he did not commit the crime, he is still found
