The Great Gatsby is about a man who just wanted to live his dream. The main character, Jay Gatsby is always focusing on the past and future. One of the major themes is focusing on the past and future. Gatsby thinks of what could have been if he would have made better choices, but he also thinks about what he can do to make the future better. Gatsby is not the only one who focuses on the theme, Nick and Daisy also focus on this theme too.
