In the speech to the troops at Tilbury, Queen Elizabeth the 1st attempts to persuade her soldiers to fight the Spanish for god and country. While speaking to her soldiers, Queen Elizabeth the 1st builds an argument to persuade them that fighting the Spanish is commanded by God and that fighting the Spanish will help improve their country. The argument developed through queen elizabeth's use of pathos using her soldiers feelings of attachment to their country and god.
