A common theme throughout the movies we watched, Paths of Glory, Beasts of No Nation, and City of God was that of Brotherhood. Brotherhood is a common theme throughout all war movies but especially prevalent in these. For example, to develop this theme in Paths of Glory, Stanley Kubrick, uses the costumes to show uniformity, which in turns represents brotherhood.
