Patrick Henry’s, in his speech, Speech in Virginia Convention, he emphasizes that. Henry’s purpose is to use emotional appeal to establish that if they were tired of the British pushing them around then they needed to make a stand. He adopts an insightful tone in order to justify that Americans will have to take action.
