Paul John Knowles Life Essay

Paul John Knowles was born in 1946 and raised in Florida. He was first arrested at the age of 19.He was serving time in Raiford when he started talking to California divorcee Angela Covic. She visited the prison many times, fell in love with him and finally accepted his proposal of marriage, shelling out money for lawyers to win his release. He was released on parole May 1947, and flew directly to San Francisco, but Covic had changed her mind. A psychic warned her of a dangerous man in her life, hard times and unfaithful love so she departed her ways from him. The night she dumped him Knowles attacked and killed three people allegedly, but his claim has not been verified. Back in Jacksonville, Knowles was put in jail after a bar fight, but

He then spotted one on the side of the road where he charged him with the gun and forcing him and the officer into the back seat. He then too them to a wooded area where he tied them to a tree and shot and killed both of them. Returning to the vehicle he saw a police barricade ahead and lost control of the vehicle as he tried to drive thru it.The officer then arrested him and took him into custody to await his trial. He confessed to 38 victims but police were only able to tie him to 18 of those victims. While in pursuit on the way to the jail Knowles had a gun hid he had used earlier i killing another officer that earlier he had hid. Agent Angel saw Knowles wrestling with Officer Lee and his gun which discharged in the holster while they were wrestling. Officer Angel then took out his gun and pointed it toward Knowles while driving and maintaining to keep the car on the road pulling the trigger and shooting him 3 times in the chest killing him instantly . Knowles would never make it to the press release to be questioned before he was killed by Officer Angel. Meaning to say he had made a bad choice and for those families that had lost their loved ones by this poor old sick man i’m very sorry and God bless
