The group that started as the Quarrymen eventually changed to the Beatles in 1960 (“Paul CNN”). During the 1960s, Stuart Sutcliffe left the band; he got engaged to someone named Astrid Kirchherr. Paul uses Stuart to compare him and John, “John was hard, I was soft; John loved Stuart, I didn’t”. From this statement, it is easy to tell that Paul was not very fond of Stuart Sutcliffe, and it was not hard for him to let Stuart go. Paul was glad to also take over bass when Stuart left. The Beatles shot back with a new addition to the band, a manager. While the Beatles were in Hamburg, Germany (“Paul”), Brian Epstein watched them play.
