One time I was at school rushing to get to my next class when I saw a guy in front of me drop his lunch money. I caught that at the corner of my eye. Even though I will be late if I make stop, I still picked up the lunch money and gave it to him. This was a tough decision because I was wondering if I should give him the money or leave it and let someone else give it to him. In history, Paul Rusesabagina is a person who displayed lot of moral courage. He is a Rwandan man who has been critically acclaimed for saving 1,268 refugees during the Rwandan Genocide. During the 1994 Rwandan genocide, Rusesabagina used his influence and connections as temporary manager of the 'Mille Collines ' to shelter 1,268 Tutsis and moderate Hutus from being slaughtered by the Interahamwe militia( is a Hutu paramilitary organization They are currently a terrorist group hiding in the Congo and the Ugandan forest.). This was an extreme display of selflessness on his part due to the danger he put himself by sheltering Tutsis who were being hunted and killed. The first theme of is Love. I can relate to this theme because like Percy I love all of my family members. Unlike Percy’s step dad, both my mom and dad are independent. The theme of love is not only about loving our parents but also respecting them. One important theme in The Westing Game is Bravery, I can relate to this theme when I reached India airport and I was received by my grandparents and while we were waiting for my parents to collect luggage my grandparents offered me soda and I had tough decision to saying no with respect as I did not want them to feel bad. But I was brave enough and stood up and said “no thank you”.
