Additionally, I immersed myself in the atmosphere that expressed the same philosophical beliefs that I discovered when engaging other lost students within the classroom. I discovered the reality that would ultimately inspire me to survive and remain strong in the decision that I would make throughout my life. As I enthralled myself in the energy of punk rock, I was further exposed to a world of independent people and beliefs. A place where I could believe in the people and they believed in me. In turn, in Chapter 2 of his book, Pedagogy of the Oppressed, Paulo Freire would propose the moment when individuals can fully become human is the moment that the human-world relationships begins to take shape. As a result, Freire would conceive that, “But since people do not exist apart from the world, apart from reality, the movement must begin with the human-world relationship” (9). Hence, there is a world of educational value that can be obtained by an individual who additionally opens themselves up to others. The individuals that they engage with by simply building a human relationship between themselves, the world that reflect their beliefs, and the works that inspired them to begin with. Therefore, the moment that that a human relationship can be made is the moment that an individual is able to discover the reality where the connections, works, and people they encounter shape their educational experiences.
