As a general inference from my research, the predictions of a rapid increase in jobs being created for pediatricians in the future, clearly shows that the need for pediatricians, regardless if they specialise in something, will not decrease foreseeably.

There will also be more employment opportunities in low income and urban communities.

According to the 2014 Labour Force Survey, 94% of Canadian Pediatricians are employed full time and 65% of Canadian Pediatricians are self-employed.

Usually there are pediatricians and other medical staff working alongside each other. Pediatricians rarely work alone, they usually work in a solidarity environment. Pediatricians who work in a hospital setting are usually specialist pediatricians. Such as pediatric cardiologist, emergency medicine pediatrician, etc.
