Pedro Alonso Lopez is a mass murder that was eventually given the name Monster of the Andes for all of the killings that had previously occurred. He was born and resided in Columbia. His mom was a prostitute which led to him being the 7th out of 13th children. His view on women due to his mom was very low and with this came his “mother walking in on him touching his sister inappropriately and then proceeding to throw him out of the house to live on the streets and beg.” (svsd.net, 2) He had thought that his luck began to change when a man on the street had offered to take him in give him a house, food, and clothes. This man not only lied to Lopez, “taking him to an abandoned building and repeatedly sodomized him only to return him to the streets” (svsd.net, 2), but gave him the ideas in the back of his mind for his future murders.
