In the short story of Penny in the dust written by Ernest Buckler there is this little boy named Pete, he has some trouble communicating with his father. Pete’s father is not the kind of father that every child would dream to have for their childhood. Pete’s father never even held him once during his childhood, one day Pete’s father gave him a very valuable penny and Peter decided to go play in the dust with the penny his father gave to him but after a while, he forgot where he dug it up. Never be, to tell the truth sometimes it's for the best, to be honest. And Pete wanted, to tell the truth, he just wasn't sure if his father would have been mad so he took a couple seconds to think everything through to know if it was the right thing to do. Sometimes you tell yourself `` i rather not know that truth cuz it may hurt me more then it should`` but also sometimes its the right thing to know because some of youre friends can be fake friends towards you and thats respecful you should have friends that back you but not lie to you. This relates to my theme because Pete wasnt sure if he wanted to tell the truth to his father cuz he was scard his father would be mad, but after telling his father the truth he wasnt mad but if Pete would of lied to his dad there would of been a …show more content…
