Sally and Percy Jackson in The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan, both have similarities and differences when it comes to their motivation to take action when faced with uncertainty. Percy uses his quick reflexes to conquer what he was feeling. On the contrary, Sally uses a caring personality to deal with uncertainty. Sally and Percy both put what is important to them first.
In the novel Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief By Rick Riordan, the main character is very caring and persistent. Percy Jackson is a 12-year-old boy and finds out that he is half human, half god. So Percy, Sally, and Grover are driving to take Percy to the special place and Grover proceeds to tell Percy that everything he practically knows is a lie, that greek mythology actual does exist, that he’s a demigod, and that he is not safe where he currently is and has to go to Camp Half-Blood.
The book, The Lightning Thief, by Rick Riordan, is a very good book. It is about how a kid named Percy, who is a child of the Ancient Greek god, Poseidon, who has to go on a quest to find Zeus’s Lightning bolt before Zeus starts a war against the gods. Zeus believes that Poseidon took the lighting bolt to try to take over his throne. Something I learned today was that Ares, The god of war, and Luke, a son of Hermes, were trying to start the war in the first place. Luke stole the bolt from Zeus when he and Camp Halfblood went to Mount Olympus.

Percy was a trustworthy person and he would never purposely make enemies with somebody. Percy was an understanding person and he put trust in people. When Percy was younger he wasn't very smart when it came to trusting people because he got betrayed several times, but he later learned about trusting the right kinds of people. Percy was so kind, his friends and fellow Half Bloods would always have his back. He made lots of friends and there was always someone who would pop up when least expected and they would have Percy's back and save him.
Percy Jackson and Odysseus are both amazing characters who went through great adventures, but which one is the real hero? A hero isn’t just about being kind or saving the world, but rather giving 110% and risking everything for others. A hero needs to use their strengths and talents to be courageous through hardships and struggles they may face. Odysseus was smart, brave, and strong, but he used those qualities selfishly.
Percy has learned his role throughout the story as he journeys to bring back what was taken from his uncle (Zeus) to keep peace in the world. Some challenges was getting to know that he was son of Poseidon, being attacked by the three furies, and being betrayed by the ones he called a true friend to a King Titan
