It isn't very long before the entire camp knows about Percy's incident in the bathroom. Annabeth tells Percy she needs to speak with the Oracle but that's all she says. Percy isn't liking things here and wants to head home, but this is his home now. Annabeth reveals to Percy that his father isn't dead. In fact, he is an Olympian meaning Percy is a demigod. She explains to him that the only way he'll know who his father is is if his father sends a sign. Annabeth tells Percy she stays at the camp year-round to keep out of the eyes of mythological creatures. She makes sure that Percy is aware the only way he can leave camp is with an assigned task. Percy proceeds to ask Annabeth about what she was discussing with Chiron, although she tells him that she doesn't know anything other than there being a problem on Mount Olympus. …show more content…

Apparently her, Luke, and the other campers took a field trip there when the weather was "normal." Percy heads back to his cabin and gets the chance to truly meet Luke and shares with Percy that Hermes is Luke's father. When Percy asks him about the Oracle, Luke describes why Annabeth told him to leave; Chiron told Annabeth she isn't allowed to set off on a quest until a special person came to the camp.
