The book The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky is about a teenage boy named Charlie whom writes letters to random people just about his current life stories. In the first half of the book, Charlie is starting high school tomorrow and is extremely scared because he feels he doesn’t have anyone due to the death of his very close friend Michael, his brother (whom he is also very close to) is gone to college as a freshman trying to become a professional football player and the death of his Aunt Helen; all three very much important people to him. One night Charlie’s sister gets into an irrelevant argument about Charlie’s sisters boyfriend didn’t stand up to his bully, so he eventually gets annoyed by her and believe it or not hits Charlie’s sister while having Charlie see it happen. Rather than leaving him, Charlie’s sister spends more time with him and were even caught having sexual intercourse by Charlie in the basement and weeks later his sister asks for the mix tape back. As his life at school continues he meets a boy in his shop class that he calls nothing because he doesn’t know his name but later finds out his name is Patrick as they both met at the school’s football game. Patrick then introduced his step-sister that he had brought along and her name was Sam and Charlie found her quite attractive. Back to the scene at home, Bill whom is Charlie’s English teacher found out about his sisters abusive relationship and
