In American Lit we had to read Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky , not gonna lie it was a very interesting book. This book had a lot of interesting letters but one of my favorite was when Charlie was about to have sex with Sam and he rejected her and said he wasn’t ready. He had liked her since the book of the beginning, but he had his reason as in why he wasn't ready. Charlie rejected Sam because his prior experiences with sex have been uncomfortable. One of the reasons Charlie rejected Sam was due to his past experience of watching Dave rape his girlfriend. Charlie's brother and sister threw a party and they told charlie to stay in the room and as he was in the room a couple came in and try having sex but the girl said no because there was a kid. Even though the girl said no “ The boy kept working up the girl's shirt, and as much as she said no he kept working it”(30). The girl kept trying to stop the Dave, but “After a few minutes, the boy pushed the girl's head down, and she started kissing his penis”(31) . Candace decided to have unsafe sex with her boyfriend which didn't end so well because when Charlie saw his sister cried and asked her what was wrong,” That’s when she told me she was pregnant”(116). She didn’t know how to keep it a secret from her parents and she end it up going to the clinic, and that's when Charlie started to cry because, “ My sister was also the one who laughed when I immediately asked her where babies go to.(118) Charlie was shocked when he got the news from her sister he didn’t know how react at all and he started to cry because he was in the clinic for that reason.
