Persephone In Greek mythology, most of the gods and goddesses date or marry one of their family members. Persephone is the goddess of the Underworld, reincarnation and ghosts, she is also married to Hades. Persephone is a very pretty goddess, she is the fourth prettiest goddess, and one of the most famous goddesses (McCall). Persephone is the daughter of Zues, the chief god, and Demeter, the goddess of agriculture. Zeus and Demeter fell in love when Zeus violated Demeter in the form of a bull, and from their union came Persehone. Persephone is married to her uncle, Hades, and he's the god of the Underworld. Persephone had two children, one a girl named Melinoe, and a son named Zagreus. Melinoe is the daughter of Persephone and Hades, and Melinoe is also the …show more content…

Demeter was Persehone’s mother, Demeter was the goddess of the harvest. Demeter was a very important goddess to the Ancient Greek people, who farmed a lot of their food. Demeter had a kind and beautiful daughter, named Persephone, who she loved very much. Persephone was like her mom and loved nature. Persephone had to split her time living with her mother and Hades, she spent half of the year with Hades, and the other half of the year with Demeter. When Persephone went missing from the world, to the underworld, her mother, Demeter, looked for Persephone nine days straight. You can easily tell that Demeter cared for her daughter, Zeus also cared because if Persephone was never found, Demeter would make the world go perish. Demeter only wanted Persephone to herself and herself only, when Hades took her away she was furious at Hades. Persephone was not the only kid that Demeter had though, she had eight others, named Despoina, Eubleus, Airon, Plutus, Philomelus, lacchus, Acheron, and Hecate. Even though she had all of those other kids, Persephone was still her favorite
