Perseus was considered a demigod who didn’t had special power, but had a intellect and physical ability that helped him slayed Medusa. Perseus is the son of Zeus and Danae. Perseus special story is defeating Medusa with the aid of the gods Zeus, Athena, and Hades. This is important because he was able to defeat Medusa even though King polydectes sent him in the quest to get killed, but Perseus got revenge into turning him into stone and killing his grandfather completing the oracle’s prophecy. Then king polydectes fell in love with Danae, which led to Perseus accepting the quest to kill Medusa in order to stop Polydectes from flirting with his mom. During his quest he got the help from the goddess Athena in order to get some weapons and equipment to be able to slay Medusa In exchange for her head. Athena aided Perseus by giving him her mirror like shield and instructed him to go find the nymphs, and to get the helmet of invisibility.
