This is an example of perseverance, because the true love of Buttercup’s life is dead. Most people in this situation would give up on happiness, and do nothing but sulk. Though Buttercup was upset, she was able to persevere, and find a solution (riding her horse to cheer up.)

Inigo is stabbed by Tyrone. This is an example of perseverance, because Inigo faced a difficult situation (him being stabbed), where he could have given up. However, Inigo persevered, and continued to fight against Tyrone.
