A personal accomplishment of mine that marked childhood to adulthood would most likely be when I got my first job at McDonalds in April 2015. This is a big personal accomplishment because I never would've thought that I'd be getting me my first job at the age of 16. It all started at the beginning of April when I walked in & saw a sign that stated "apply here at mchawaii.net" that night I did just that, I applied for my very first job. The next morning was like any other morning, but just a little more excited than usual waiting for my call about the job. I got to school at around 7:30, school started at 8:15. It was like any other day too, I went to my first period Mow class, then to my thirst period chemistry class, after that was recess …show more content…
Shortly after I showed up, I saw the general manager Ernest Noh come out, he looked at me & somehow he knew it was me getting interviewed out of all the other kids there. I walked in, I could see 2 other people that had their orientation today also. Then it was my turn, but before the orientation could begin we had to do a drug test, it was the first time I've ever done one it was nerve wrecking. When the drug testing was over that's when the real orientation began, I walked into a small room called the crew room seated in there was 5 other potential McDonald's employees, I was glad to see that I wasn't the only one going through the nervousness, it was very releaving. The orientation was basically filling out paperwork such as health insurance papers, tax papers & other types of important papers. By the time it was over, I felt like I couldn't write anymore. The orientation ended at about 5:30, which meant that I got paid for my first hour an half of work. That was really exciting. I was told that I should be getting a call from the McDonald's in Kealakekua in a couple days to tell me about my work
