Why Georgetown? Why Health?
When I think of Georgetown University, I think of Washington D.C. and its relation to leadership, diversity, and prestigious success. Because I want to be a pediatrician, I believe that Georgetown is an outstanding choice for building a well-rounded structure of education and community to help me achieve that goal.
Having come to the D.C. area when I first immigrated to America I grew a deep fascination and love for the area. When I moved to Ohio, I knew that it would be great to have the opportunity to go back and school there. In order to know more about the colleges there, I decided upon the fact that the first step would be to ask a friend who lives there, all about colleges close to her. The first college she recommended to me was Georgetown! She doesn't go to Georgetown but she says if she had the opportunity to go back to college she would definitely apply to Georgetown. Upon doing my research on Georgetown through the internet, I found many great facts. “Ranked number 23 in National Universities by US World and News Report…students who study at Georgetown are equipped with valuable research experience that makes them some of the most competitive candidates when they go on to pursue graduate work…” (College Gazette) From College Gazzette to College Reality Check, they all said the same thing,

Since DC is the capital of the US, it opens a bunch of opportunities to learn about health, not only in the local area but in the US and the world. I was told the number of undergraduates at Georgetown is relatively small. This is great because it would make me as the student gain a personal experience with my professors and other students that might be attending. One of the reasons why I chose health as a major is to contribute to the overall health of my community through my efforts and to also be on the front lines in the battle against sickness and
