Dealing with an experience which has transform my life has made my future unclear. It has been very difficult to stay focused and remain hopeful in such a difficult time. Through my challenging period, there is one memory which keeps my faith solid. My finest football performance in high school still gives me hope through my roughest times. This game showed me what I am capable of, provides me a reason to not to quit, and present a purpose as why I compete with myself.
Standing with my right hand across my chest, hovering my heart, patiently waiting for the game to start. It was seven thirty and the night sky was pitch black, but the stadium lights were shinning brighter than the sun its self on a hot summer afternoon. This game increased my confidence since I knew what my capability was. Even though I lacked some essentials, it was clear greatness was achievable for everyone. My disposition was to go out and achieve it. This game showed myself, and many people watching how versatile of an athlete I was. Being able to move the way I did opened many doors for me and as I continue to keep this memory as motivation, it will create plenty opportunities for me later in life. My performance in this game has instilled something in me which I will never lose. This game gave me heart, enough heart to never give up in the face of adversity. Now knowing my true capability, I can never be discouraged again on my journey. My future plan is to put on a performance ten times better than my high school performance for all the people who were rooting for me the entire way on a bigger spotlight.
