I will understand that every student is different and embrace every challenge. My goal is to strive as a positive role model by influencing moral character with
Especially for their age, they are going through so much change and so many different experiences going on, that they need to have a teacher that can be a role model to them. It is going to be important for me to ensure that my students know that my classroom is an open-minded space, in which there will be growth and students striving for a goal throughout the year. As the school year progresses, my students will have the opportunity to grow and change. I want them to believe in themselves and be able to reach their full potential as not just a student, but as a person as well. One of my activities I did at the beginning of the year was to meet with my students and we went over goals that the students would strive for.
This shows how committed teachers are to developing good learning environments for students and helping them succeed. However, Dr. Francis Broadway offered a different perspective on the goals of teachers. He stated that teachers work to create obedient members of society that comply to the ideas that society deems to be important. I believe that this goal can be interpreted to the same as the others, helping a student succeed.
I want to have a job coach come in and work with my students a few times a month. I want to provide a service where I provide meals for my students over the weekends if they need it. I want to find a safe and open home for my homeless students to live in. I want to show my students that they can get a job and/or go to college. These are all my goals and my roles that I want to contribute as a teacher.
The overall goal is for all students to be taken care of while in the classroom and to gain the knowledge that they need in order to be successful in life. My goal is to become a teacher and I will continue to work for the goal that my ancestors created many years ago. Every student deserves to be able to walk out of the classroom having learned how to become a responsible citizen that can change the world. In early Arkansas education, teachers taught in small one-room schoolhouses, instructed many age groups of kids, worked in unideal conditions, and taught all of the basics in the “Three R’s”. All of these challenges were to make sure that their students had an education.
As an administrator, my purpose is to improve the quality of teaching and learning process to improve student achievement. I must have a vision that is communicated to the faculty, staff, students, and parents. The goal should be to provide students with the best education possible and I must have the support of the parents and the
Also, I would like to become more comfortable understanding the First People’s Principles of Learning, and applying them to my teaching practice. Another aspect that I would like to include even more so into my lessons and classroom environment is a spirit of inquiry (Goal 7). I would like to improve upon my own skills of asking higher-level questions, and lead by example. In addition, I want to continue to work on my teacher presence in the classroom, while being mindful of my tone, and what I say in the classroom. For example, sometimes I can make comments that are sarcastic without even being aware that I am; it is important that I am not sarcastic in my classes because not every student understands sarcasm.
My educational goal is to earn a degree in Biology and Spanish from the University of California, Riverside, in hopes of getting a job inside the laboratory department at Kaiser. Based on labs that I have already done at the University, I found that I enjoy working in a similar setting. I would love to have the opportunity to shadow a connoisseur in a similar work environment, as it would be a valuable learning experience. I come from a low-income family in Oakland, California. The economic barrier that has restricted my family has prevented us from moving out from where we live.
My personal philosophy for ensuring student success includes promoting ownership of learning, communicating high expectations with students and parents, actively monitoring progress throughout the year and using data to implement successful interventions. I believe teaching students to be self-motivated learners who actively participate in their learning is key to student success. I encourage students to set their own goals, find ways to meet their goals, as well as reflect on their academic performance in class. I believe celebrating student’s strengths is the most important part of motivating and sustaining excellence in academic performance. A strategy I used during student teaching was holding post test “class meetings” in which the students formed a circle to discuss the results of their assessments.
My main purpose for furthering my education is that I have a passion for working with children, I want to go into a career where I know that I'm going to enjoy what I’m doing. I believe that one of my main goals for teaching, would be to teach children how to love learning because learning is a lifelong process. I believe every student deserves an equal opportunity to be successful, and the best way to be successful is through education. Through the Agricultural Leadership course, I got first hand-experience in planning and teaching a class of third-grade students. This has only fueled my desire to become a teacher.
Prayer Building a lifestyle of consistent prayer To begin, many situations occur in life that will cause someone to want to learn to pray about. However, a child may be born sick, a friend hurt badly in a car wreck, or someone finds out they have an incurable illness just to say. Thus, when a person learns how to pray, these issues gone through will not even be able to affect them anymore. Therefore, the discipline of prayer and the teachings on prayer will help individuals to incorporate its principles into their daily lives to do.
My 8th grade social studies teacher always use to say “ A goal without a deadline is just a dream.” With that, he was telling us to prepare to achieve our goals. I sort of carried that with me into highschool life and planning out my future. I have different goals set for the stages of my life, like high school, college, and adult life. Everything you do should push you a little closer to your overall life goals.
First, one of main goals in life is to be a successful and impactful Elementary teacher and Special Education K-6. To achieve this goal I intend to continue to attend class, be consistent and be a responsible student throughout my college experience and gain more experience being around kids more and understand the circumstances of being a teacher and the skills too. Another goal I have set for myself is to become more aware of what is happening around the community and to get more involved on the social aspect and attending as many school social events or opportunities as I can. To go through with this goal I plan to start from the beginning and sign up for various clubs, groups, religious gatherings, organizations etc to get the most out of getting to know more people and to continue to stay connected. Maintaining grades and GPA I will need to stay on top of my schoolwork daily, study adequately, use TRIO program and tutoring assistance, check for understanding in class, communicate diligently and to advocate for myself and to improve on time management and making sure I get everything finished early or on time.
College was always one of my long term goals as I continued with my education. Throughout the years I began to work harder and harder so I could secure my future. I knew that getting to college would not be easy. I am about to embark on a four year journey in one of the hardest fields to pursue. I will continue my education as a Nursing major at a four year university.
I learned their cultures and backgrounds. Each student learned different, which allowed me to design an instruction plan to meet the student’s needs. I enjoyed the teaching these students. The community at E. R. Dickson allowed me to work with
