The path of my dream occupation has been relatively linear. I’ve known since I could ever remember that I wanted to be in the medical field. My grandmother was a nurse and I think her compassion for helping others rubbed off on me. I always looked up to her, so I consider working in the medical field to be continuing her legacy.
The career that I have decided I would like to have one day is as a veterinarian. I really enjoy and care for animals and love to help them. I have some pets of my own and help them when they need it. I really like science and math and think this job is perfect for me. Being a vet involves a lot of mathematics.

The career I have chosen has to do with criminal justice. Criminal justice is something that 's always seemed to grab my attention. It 's something I feel I was born to be interested in. I really enjoy helping others in any way so I figured why not pursue a career as a probation officer. These past few weeks I've spent many, many hours debating about a pretty big decision I've been trying to make. I've covered every aspect from making the better choice for my career or for my finances or how it will effect my family and friends, and I've finally decided based on what I WANT to do. So with that being said, I am happy to announce that I have accepted a full-time position as a Mental Health Assistant in Nashville at Hermitage Hall!!! A month ago I would've never imagined this happening, but it did and I couldn't be happier to start my journey with a youth residential treatment center in a few weeks!
In summary, a career I would like to pursue is a Pediatric Nurse. I have several qualities that suit me for this job such as caring, communication skills and vigilance. In my opinion, I believe I have chosen a career for me and would be able to work in this job until I can retire. As a child, I have always wanted to achieve something to help children and I believe I have found something that will help me pursue this dream of mine. These nurses undergo multiple tests and I believe that I 'm set to start.
1) How and why did you decide on a career in psychiatry? I decide to become psychiatrist in medical school. During my clinical rotations in my school i rotated in all specialties, but psychiatry was the one which drew my attention because i felt psychiatry was the branch which goes along with my personality because I love talking to people and try my best to understand them in a proper emapathatic way. Psychiatry gives me opportunity to meet patients and to take care of their life problems, to hear about their inner world. It is tremendous connection with another human being as an indiviual and i believe we get that more in psychiatry than rest of medicine.
My educational and career goals revolve around pursuing a major in neuroscience and a minor in bioethics, with the ultimate objective of becoming a psychiatrist. The field of neuroscience has always fascinated me due to its intricate exploration of the human brain and its impact on behavior, cognition, and mental health. By combining this knowledge with a background in bioethics, I aim to develop a comprehensive understanding of the ethical considerations and dilemmas that arise in the field of psychiatry. Neuroscience, as a multidisciplinary field, encompasses various branches of science, including biology, chemistry, psychology, and physics, all of which contribute to unraveling the complexities of the brain. Growing up with mental illness they called me crazy, annoying, and angry. They looked at me differently. They’d even talk about it amongst themselves, but never offered guidance. That’s the problem with society these days. Everyone loves a party, but no one wants to clean up the mess.
All of my goals derive from my passion for problem solving and helping others. As a result, I aspire to be a psychiatrist in order to help the mentally ill and help remove the negative connotations associated with mental disorders. In order to achieve these goals, I have dedicated myself to my academics and participated in extracurricular activities that develop my talents and allow me to solve problems creatively. By taking advanced courses I have expanded my knowledge and equipped myself with the necessary skills to succeed in a college environment. I have also dedicated myself to the engineering pathway courses, which have taught me to think creatively and resourcefully, and have improved my skills as a problem solver.
The career I would like to have is a Superintendent of Education. It is important for the community because there are people who wouldn’t bother to take their time to help out others for their education. They are the ones of taking care of our education and making sure the teachers are doing their jobs. The superintendent has to make the decisions of our learning, programs, staff, and how they will be spending money to the school.
Work with children Throughout my high school and college years, I have had several experiences with children that have all played a part in shaping my love for working with children. During high school, I spent two summers nannying for two young school aged children. Working with these siblings really made me realize how much fun I have working with children and watching them grow. Once I came to college, I started another babysitting job working with two four year old twin girls.
Public speaking has never been for me. I have done many class presentations through my years at high school and I’m excited to say have slowly been getting better. When every I speak in public my face turns red, my hands began to sweat, and I begin to fidget. I would really like to overcome these nervous habits. Also, throughout the course I would love to learn enunciate my words and present a clear, concise speech.
The Profession of Social Work as a Career Goal Graduating from high school, I have always had a passion working with kids. I never put into thought exactly what I wanted to do with kids, all I knew was that I wanted to work with kids. At first, my career choice was to become a midwife. There were several complications down the road, in which I could no longer pursue that career choice.
