I would never have thought walking into the cafeteria this morning, how much a signal mans words could impact and change me for the better. Dr. Fowlin’s words were like music to my ears; I could not stop listening to what he had to stay. He made solutions to my thoughts and worries. To be honest, before the assembly, I felt bad for those who do not fit in, but I never took action to make them feel welcomed. Once listening to Mikey, I realized I could do many simple things to make someone's day. Even if I do not consider them “my friend” or I never talk to them, I am going to make sure, I give them a simple smile in the halls. Not everyone has the money or access to the stores, which leads them to not fitting in. In this day in age, we are so steroticall we do not bare a chance for someone to be different. I can't stand how middle school is a popularity and a beauty contest. From this day forward, I am going to make sure someone different feels welcomed. They should not have to dread going to school everyday. I am going to look past someone's exterior and pay closer attention to their insides. Letting them simply sit with me at lunch or be partners for a project, could let them feel different about themself in a good way.
