Personal Narrative: A Team's Last Game

The air smells of grass and the green grass waves with the breeze. Me and my teammates sweat like pigs as the blazing hot sun hits are backs pulling the sweat out of our heads. All of our faces red as we come off the field. This game was the most intense game I have ever played in. We are still tied after a full game, and overtime. Now I have to sit and watch like the rest of the crowed. The first six PK were scored the intensity rising with each one . Now if this player scores the other team can win it all. The crowd goes silent the player has a look of determination on his face he runs up to the ball and he hits it. I watch the ball flying through the air, praying he would miss.
It was the last game that me and my team would play together. I have only known most of them for a year yet they felt so close to me. We bonded over disappointment, failure,winning, and running hills. Now me and my team had to focus we were in the finals. We played 5 …show more content…

Then 1 minute before half time they scored. Now we needed to get it back. For the first ten minutes we were trying so hard to get it back and we were so close! Then we had a breakaway. My teammate runs like a gazelle approaching the goal fast the ball soars thru the air the swish hear the back of the net. The crowd roars as if there were a thousand people in the stands. It was 1 to 1. The remaining 15 minutes of the game flashed by very quickly. Then the whistle blew. That usually means the end of the game, but today this means overtime. There are five minute halves I played the 1st five minutes. By the 2nd half of overtime I needed a break, my face red and glazed with sweat, I had played that whole game. Now I have to sit and watch like the rest of the crowed. The second half blew by very quickly when that whistle blew my stomach dropped it dropped into the core of the earth we were in PK shootouts.
