Growing up in a lower to middle-class environment, my educational experiences were very split from year to year. I attended Eagle Elementary in Medford, New York. Medford is very diverse in terms of economic and racial status so our classrooms were filled with different cultures and ideals. Attending a “high need” school district has provided me with opportunities and resources that Alejandro did not receive. My district offered inclusion classrooms throughout elementary and middle school, and received grants in order to better support our English Language Learners and their needs.

Over my short, seventeen-year lifetime, I have had passions in many areas, from geography to soccer to leadership. However, as I have grown older, I have had a growing passion for the schools in my area because they taught me everything that I know and have given me all the opportunities that I have taken advantage of. Because of this growing passion, I became involved in two very important organizations that influence the future of the Sartell – St. Stephen School District: the Community Schools Planning Initiative and the Sartell – St. Stephen Board Of Education. The Community Schools Planning Initiative was launched at the start of 2015 in order to come up with a vision for the future of the Sartell – St. Stephen School District and a plan to match that
This assessment has outlined the community and stakeholders for the DAH, and briefly described their function and their information needs. Included in the discussion is an in-depth analysis of the demographics of the community served for this position, including age group, education level, socioeconomic level, and a brief description of the area served. This assessment includes a 5-year report that can help for planning purposes for demographics for the (DAH), and the information on the report seemed to be aligned and corroborate with information gathered from online research. This assessment would have benefitted from an interview with key figures at DAH, in lieu of which is attached one of two addendums/supplements that illustrates questions to be asked in an interview survey. The other supplement is a generated report of a sample survey from Social Explorer, as previously mentioned.
When I contemplate about my years at Pine Forge Academy I realized that I had numerous fond memories. "Little Lake” was a factory that made redwood patio furniture. While on the bus to Little Lake I recall how the group of students would make up songs to sing and how fantastic we sounded. I remembered the long days and how many of us would return to the campus covered with wood shavings. I reminisce on the many summers that I did not return home for summer vacations.

Throughout my past four years at Weddington High School, I am inspired by the impact my teachers have given me. I believe education is the greatest gift you can give to a person who is striving to make a difference. This is something that I have been interested in for several years. I am currently a teacher assistant for Mrs. Donna Nunn’s Microsoft Word and PowerPoint class that allows me to see how lesson plans are carried out in a classroom environment and I know that this experience has given me a stronger desire to become a teacher. During my freshman year of high school, Ms. Marisa DiFronzo made literature become a very engaging subject for me, not only by her way of teaching but also her ability to bring the class together as one.
Yes. I graduated from the Texans Can Academy, an alternative high school for at-risk students. My level of preparation upon graduation was subpar. Since college was never part of my plans I never took an SAT or ACT. Throughout high school I was learning a foreign language and adapting to a new culture all while learning the required material in grade school.
Lincoln Middle School is an interesting and fun place to be. It’s set up like a figure eight so it is easy to get around. All the teachers are friendly and have quirks that I always enjoy. Some teachers are better than others but all of them are good. I love Lincoln, it is easily my favorite school because you get lots of exercise going through the hallways during passing time.
We were rushing out of the room as fast as we could; the alarm was set to go off in just two minutes. The light switch was on the opposite side of the door so we had to run through the darkened room before it turned eleven. We finally made it out of the building, with two minutes to spare. It was that night that I learned how important it was to honor a commitment. Earlier that week, my mom, the director of the food pantry, order 1600 pounds of food.
You drive into the parking lot, a wide field to your right, and you lay your eyes on the forest green roof. Students and potential are flowing through the doors like water through a floodgate. Coffee cups in hand, the drowsy students begin to perk up as they make eye contact with their peers. This is the Seneca High School Community. You finish paying for your ticket and walk into the bleachers for a Friday night football game.
Growing up in a private charter school, the teachers really fixated on telling you when and how you were wrong. We were expected to know anything and everything that prevailed to our current grade. Being in that environment really made it hard for me to try. Because trying was leaving possibilities for error and mistakes and that wasn 't acceptable. So, for any difficult problem, I wouldn 't even try.
I was angry I had to be there by 5:00 and I had to get my car back by the end of the day. I went to mainstreet and was shocked to see that the traffic was absolutely dreadful. I had to make a detour, it was already 4:00! So the next left I found, I took I went past bell creek, A charter school that was older than I. I turn to the left three more times Before I realize I should stop going in circles.
In my life, I’ve switched five different schools. One of these processes was challenging to fit in. In the year twenty fourteen I switched schools from Roberts Ferry to Hickman Elementary School. I came up to school that morning. It looked a little scary and intimidating.
