The chilling breeze brushed up against my skin, thankfully drying up some of the sweat that was finding its way into my eyes. My hand still trembling with nervousness, and my stomach churning with nausea. I was approaching the basket and the crowd starts to rise like a Tsunami. As I got really close to the basket I got into my layup position. Taking two swift steps and then just simply serving the ball on to the backboard.
“LET'S GO!” Screams a player on my team who has clearly been at the field for a while, waiting anxiously for the first box lacrosse game of the season. This is my first season playing lacrosse; a sport that I've always wanted to play but never had the courage to try, until now. In the big picture, we only won a championship, but down deep it meant so much more. After that, I realized I can really work at this and have a lot of fun doing what I love.

My team and I watching from the crowd, as Clarkstown and New City battle it out to advance to the next round. The sun beaming down on us like we were asphalt on a summer day, and getting in our eyes causing us to put on eye black. I can’t help myself and smell hot pretzels being made so my dad and I buy one and share it before the game ends. The game finishes, 4-3 in favor of Clarkstown, my coach tells us to go to the out field to stretch and throw if you were a parent in the stands all you would see would be 10 bright white baseballs flying back and forth.
In a basketball game, the players advance up the court passing the ball among themselves in order to avoid opponents with the hope that they are able to get within shooting distance of the net. Also, soccer players move about the field, kicking the ball to teammates to keep the other team from the ball; however, players pass the ball backwards more often in soccer than in basketball. Players in both sports ultimately try to score points or make
Basketball Rule 7 says: Rebounding is the art of anticipating, of always be prepared to grab it. But don't drop the ball. Finally, Basketball Rule 8 says: Sometimes you have to lean back a little and fade away to get the best shot. As you can probably see, these 3 rules go along with each other, and things that happen in your life.
One game left. The game that determines if you make it to the state tournament or not with 50 seconds left and I have possession of the ball. What do you do in a moment like this? Coaches are yelling in your ear to hurry up because time is running out. Best thought is to dribble up the side line and drive a big ball into the circle and hope that my teammates are there to put the ball in the back of the cage.

I notice one of my teammates Sebastian scoring and the whole team starts celebrating. As five more minutes pass and finally remember hearing the final whistle and I see everyone celebrating as we have won the championship.
