I know from experience the challenging times at the hospital, I feel that with the little trinket or stuffed animal a young child gets brings sparks in their eyes and brings comfort while at the hospital. We hoped to accomplish the act of love and comfort to those young kids that need a little item to make them feel joyful and more at ease with whatever they are
For my family who will lose their only daughter. I pray that they will be able to find me, and that they can find peace. I, Kate Leone, will die at the age of 14 because my employers cared more about money than my life, Maggie’s life, and 123 other women 's lives. Things must change. If only our voices were heard
In a really chill room with couches as green as Shrek. With the scent like home as any other place. The couch feels soft and lumpy. It sounds like laughter and making jokes every minute. It never stays quiet.
It was game day the game that we could take the title away the championship away from the other team. And so Finally we could be the ones that carrier the City Trophy. So gameday was today in a few hours we would face the team that have the trophy…. Also they are gonna be a tough team to face since they have a QuarterBack that hasn't been sacked so that means they have a really good line or the QuarterBack can Juke. I'm gonna go with they have a very good offence of line.
My earliest exposure to people who were racially or culturally different from me was through television shows. This was when I was 6 years old. I remember I was so happy because my father just bought a brand new TV. At that time we don’t have cable and all we could watch was the basic TV channel and one of the show that usually plays was Charlie Angels. I remember for the first time I’ve seen Farrah Fawcett who have blonde hair, blue eyes, and speaks English was so different from me I thought.
Charley exclaimed, “A few nights ago, I saw the coolest thing ever. It was as cool as one million dollars!” “What was it?” I asked.
It was a cold November morning in the valley of Cowan, when I fired my first shot. It was a smooth and clean feeling after I pulled the trigger. I than saw the deer hunker as the slug hit its side, and it began to run away from us. Dad, knowing I had made a good shot, still decided to jump out of the blind window to end the animals suffering. Unfortunately, when his foot caught, it was all over from then.
At the risk of oversharing, but what the hey… This week, I started wrapping up Dad’s estate in Louisiana and what I thought was going to be a nightmare has instead, filled me with gratitude. I have reconnected with old friends and have stumbled upon some of Dad’s old friends in the process. No one has been in a hurry to get off the phone and the more you chat, the more family connections you uncover (not hard to do in that area). Today, I spoke with a gentleman who knew Dad and shared that Daddy’s generosity helped him get his start in business 40 years ago. He is now reciprocating the favor through me.
This left me not only fighting emotions of sorrow and grief but also with a sense of hope. I was an influence on him as he learned to trust and learned to read. I also became a safe place to open his hurts so healing could begin. It was a privilege to wrestle with him through some bleak and painful
Hi, my name’s Donovan. I’m 17 years old and graduated this year with honors. I was raised with Christian values in mind, and attended a Methodist school. I was raised in the Christian faith yet I find myself, as with some of my friends who were raised in the same conditions, we seem to be growing farther away from our upbringing as we age. I find myself simply not understanding as time goes by, a complete polar opposite from the song ‘Farther Along’.
That family is really important and always will be! Also that every now and then you should chillax and take a little vacation. I had a fun time writing for you and hope you enjoyed my experience about Door County and I hope there will be more fun years to
After school Charlie had to go to the animal shelter where he volunteered so it was just Hunter and me. We agreed to tell Charlie after school the next day The next day I woke up drenched in sweat. I had a nightmare that everything went wrong, but I still got up and got ready for school. I didn't eat breakfast that morning because I was way too nervous to eat.
Jimmiela Bruessard 9th Honors Mrs.Smith Tonight? I stared into the dark sky, taking a deep breath. “Tonight...tonight.”
I along with my family moved to Canada in 2004, this was the biggest and happiest day of my life. I had great expectations for my future; since living in Pakistan, I understood that Canada was a land of opportunity. Unfortunately, due to the earthquake in Pakistan on October 8th , 2005, we had to move back to Pakistan since we had lost members of our family as well. The move back to Pakistan at that devastating time was very hard for myself and my family. My father enrolled me to a school in Pakistan since we were going to live there now.
May the air of Christmas that is near bring us Peace, Brotherhood, Understanding, Wisdom and much Love. May the Families unite, and the Friends reunite. That in the Faith we find the strength and courage to forgive all those who failed us in the past, and that this will make us Happier in the Future. If today or tomorrow, I could not meet with my family or friends, I want you to know that every day I make a mental count of all of you always remembering the best moments shared.
