Personal Narrative: Creating My Religion

Creating my own religion, this task does seem pretty fun. Well my religion would be very similar to the army and sports, it will contain structure, a need to compete/exercise, guidelines on how to treat others, and most of all it will be fun. There will be no reliance on a god/s, no prejudice against others and most of all, history will be made by each individual. And what I mean from that, yes there will be history but each person will be in charge of choosing their own paths in life. There will be no guidelines to follow (except to treat others kindly), just the freedom for one to create their own greatness. Of course each religion interprets this in their own way, but my religion has a heavy emphasis on hard work. I believe that hard work is a direct reflection of upbringing, values, and beliefs. By exposing kids to hard work by a mixture of religion, teaching and upbringing at a young age. Then success will be imminent. Though it may be crazy to believe that a religion will make people work hard, play sports, treat others kindly, and persevere through obstacles. Each religion has beliefs, history or parts that seem “crazy”. Christians believe that there is a god who listens to everyone’s prayers and makes changes to the world just for them. Jewish believes in fasting (no food or water for a period of time). Hinduism believe gods/goddess’s come to earth at crucial times. Ahimsa in Jainism teaches not to harm any other living being (Bugs, animals, Insects). However I believe that my religion would create peace across the planet. The teachings kids receive at a young age will correlate to how they will act as an adult. Many of the problems we see today; war, obesity, violence, drugs, greed, will not exist. War comes from hate, prejudice, greed. Obesity comes from not working hard or exercising. The use of drugs and conducting violence comes from an inability to overcome obstacles faced in life. My religion offers solutions to each of these problems. It also incorporates schools, churches, and societal laws in order to achieve continuity across society as a whole. Everyone will understand what is expected from them, what is/is not allowed and where to find help
