“Come on Suzy you’re going to miss your plane!” called my mom from the bottom of the stairs. “I’m coming,” I piped back as I was jumping on my suitcase trying to get it to shut. After I come downstairs we piled into my mom’s minivan. As we arrive at the airport my mom is bawling her eyes out well my sister doesn’t even care. After all of these years I finally get to see my dad and for an entire summer. But I try to keep my happiness from showing because I can see how disappointed my mom is. When I get my bags checked my mom won’t leave my side. I guess she is really unsure about me flying out to see my dad for the summer. When I am just about to get on the plane my mom calls. “You start tomorrow at 1:00.” After the happiest moment of my life is over we sit down to eat dinner. At the dinner table my dad doesn’t even eat his food he so busy trying to catch me up on his life and wow has he had a lot of girlfriends. The one that really catches my eye my is girl named Louann Markus. Boy my dad had a lot to say about her. He talked about her pretty blue eyes, her dark brown wavy hair, and how the freckles on her face were just perfect. I am starting to think he regret breaking up with her. After my dad leaves I eat the food he made for me and watch TV. When it becomes about 11:45 I go get ready for dance. At 12:15 I leave with the list of direction, water, and phone. It takes me a while to get to the dance studio and I am almost late. The dance teacher seems really nice. She has a lot of nice tricks and tips for me. But sadly it only lasts for two hours. After dance I head home expecting my dad not to be home but he is. When I walk in the door I hear him say “How was dance?” “Awesome,” I pipe back. “So dad what are we going to eat for dinner?” “I think we will go to the new sushi place down the road.” “Does that sound good to you?” he ask. “Yep can’t wait,” I replied. When we come home from the sushi place I can’t wait to go to bed. A few weeks have passed and the same thing happens every day. Get up, eat, dance, go to dinner, go to bed. The teacher seems to like me but last week she was acting a little weird. It’s week 5 of dance and boy am I exhausted. I practically can get to the dance studio in my sleep.
