In the chilly and cool month of October 2016, our church and many others had planned a hike for us in the pathfinder clubs. It would take place in one of the routes of the Appalachian Trail. All of us had been excited and deprived of all patience, in anticipation for this event. There were many reasons why we all wanted to head out to this trip, but the major one was that, we would be able to leave our pesky little siblings home. The reason being that this would be an overnight hike, it would take various hours, and since it was only for the pathfinders club that meant everyone would be 13 and older. When we got there, our pastor and club leader David who is a very energetic and positive person said, “Don’t go too far we have a meeting to go to first, and then we will have lunch.” We all did as he said and didn’t dare go too far away in fear that we may miss the …show more content…
Trust was a major because the night was dark and the path was not without its potholes, and since we trusted each other we were able to get to the camp safely. By the time we had finally reached our safe haven and home for the night, it was already 1:45 AM. We tried to be as silent as we could, so that the other clubs would not wake up and scold us. When the camp was all set up we went right to sleep, and we tried to forget that to end the trip, we also had to go back down. When morning came we all had our breakfast which was some sweet bread and hot chocolate to warm us up in this cold morning. When we were all done, we picked up our trash an packed our bags. The hike leader had another small meeting with us to explain our final destination before we went back down and leave. He said, “ We are going to a cliff, rest there for a bit, and then head down to the cars and we can go home, and get a massage.” We all chuckled and headed out to the
