For the Love of the game I was born in the year of 1999. After a year or two I began to learn how to walk and ever since that moment I played basketball. My dad and older brother played so they taught me at a very young age. It all started on the little tikes goal we kept in our basement. If you don't know what that is, it is a small plastic basketball goal made for toddlers. My brother and I played on it everyday, no exageration. I fell in deep love for the game instantly and I have been playing it ever since. As I got older I learned more and more and my love for the game increased. My parents would buy us a bigger goal until we were old enough to play on the regulation size. I lived in Virginia at the time and my house was located in a cul de sac. I was averaging 26 points per game and I had nine division 1 offers to go play in college for free. I decided to commit to UNC-Asheville. It was a in-state team and I enjoyed the coaches and players a lot! As my senior season was coming to an end, I sprained my ankle very bad in a late round playoff game. We went on to lose the next round and I had to watch from the sideline. I wanted to win a state championship so bad and all I could do was watch sadly on the bench. The game I loved so much I couldn't play. Not only did my ankle keep me out for the game, but it kept me out for about five months. It was the worst pain I could have possibly gotten. Towards the end of the season, knowing that I was young for my class and not 100% healthy still my coaches asked if I would consider doing a postgrad year. They told me all it would do is give me the opportunity to play at a bigger school, give my bod more time to heal, and also give my body another year to improve and get stronger.
