Hairspray and glitter filled the air on January 30th for the Lights Camera Fashion Show. LCF, a program for juniors and seniors in high school to model Johnathan Kayne’s new prom dress release of the year. Taking my first walk on the runway with the spotlight beaming down on me in a custom-made dress was a breathtaking and exhilarating experience. However, my career choice is not modeling it is what I molded for. Lights Camera Fashion is a charity based fashion show to raise money for St. Jude Research Hospital. Every penny earned by ticket sells, sponsorships, and donations was totaled up and donated to the hospital to help with patients. I have always known I wanted to have a career where I could help children in need but wasn’t sure on the exact occupation I wanted to take on in the future. She had grown so much in one year and her hair was finally starting to grow. That day, the smile on her face, the way she spun around in her dress touched every heart in the building. That little girl grew our family and made the program closer and even more special than it was before. Show time was creeping upon us and we could not be more joyful to introduce our princess Leia to the crowed. Today is the day, all the girls rushed around back stage to have their hair and makeup done and slipped into their dresses ten minutes before show time. Every girl made their way down the runway then Leia came out. As she strutted her stuff the MC told the audience about her past. The way she suffered for two and a half years for the fight of her life and lead her to where she is today.
