The Big Hunt

¨We don't hunt because we have to, we hunt because we want to, It's what we're born to do.¨ A lot of people say practicing to hard can be deleterious to yourself in the long run but in my book that is not true. You always have to practice if you want to succeed at something so hard as deer hunting. You have to practice by shooting a lot. You also have to practice your focus skills and your never so you don't catch the buck fever when you see a deer. This can cause you to get nervous and not be able to take a clean shot or any shot at all. ¨Don't practice till you get it right, practice till you don´t get it wrong.¨ So if you want to be good at something, then don't stop practicing until you can't get it wrong.

It was very confusing and we almost got lost on the way to the farm. We actually almost his a pack of deer as they walked across the road. Me and my dad were almost for sure that I had shot the same doe that we seen walking across the road on our way. The doe had the same markings and everything and when I shot my doe it was with the same number of deer as we seen it cross the road that morning. On the way to the farm I was able to catch up on a little sleep due to the fact that I had woken up at 4:30 in the morning which is too early for me but I guess that's what it takes. Then we had to find the stand which was even harder than driving to the farm because it was so dark and we could not see anything as we were walking to the stand. If we would have never found that stand in time I would have never shot my first deer on October 9th.But we finally found it after searching for about 20 minutes and also arguing with my dad about where I thought it was but as usual he is always right and he located the stand. It was pretty difficult to find the stand, but it paid off in the long run. I was so excited to find the stand and I could not wait to see a deer. We then got settled in the stand and started the
