In 1998, Timothy Lee Hurst was tried for first-degree murder and robbery. It was said that Hurst stabbed and slashed Cynthia Harrison at least sixty times, on top of extremely deep cuts penetrating down to her bones. While the murder was being committed, Hurst robbed the Popeye’s location it was being committed in, which happened to be the location where he worked. Hurst ended up being convicted of first-degree murder, but the case turned into a penalty phase trial to figure out which sentence would best suit Hurst’s crime. After the penalty phase, the jury came back with an eleven to one vote and suggested Hurst be put to a death sentence.

In finding out these events took place, Kimberly vowed to protect her loved ones.
AoW #4 Does Paying Kids to Do Well in School Actually Work? The general argument made by author Arianna Prothero in her work, Does Paying Kids to Do Well in School Actually work, is that adults use bribes to get children into doing what they want. More specifically, Lucretia Santibañez a professor at Claremont Graduate University’s school of Educational Studies states that the incentive program can work but it depends on the design. Also Roland Fryer states that the incentives at schools do not always work they are more likely to work if the students can control it. The students should not be given but incentives
Its march 5th 1770live here at the Boston Customs House. There are rumors that a fight broke down between the colonist and a lone British sentry. It looks like it’s getting out of hand.
Father Flynn is guilty of pedophilia. Point 1: the first reason is Father Flynn was only favoring Donald and taking him to the rectory alone. data/evidence: in the book (Shanley, 2004, p.25) it is mentioned that since Donald is the only negro student in the school Father Flynn took him “under his wing”, such as hes isolated and the “Black sheep of the group” and is usually the ones the wolf goes for, Sister James says that one day after having a talk with Father Flynn, Donald came into the class room and he looked frightened and he just laid his head on his desk in a peculiar way and Sister James also mentions This shows that Father Flynn is taking advantage of Donald in ways no adult should, such as the alone time with him in a locked and
It has been ages since we last saw you. Jack sold our small home in North Carolina and we moved down to South Carolina. We have a modest farm, ten miles south of Charleston. The children, Jack and I miss you dearly. Odis, Franklin and Benjamin are doing well.
As for Nathan Ybanez, he has murdered his mother brutally and was charged with First Degree murder, since it was obviously no mistake. He had murdered her for sexually abusing him and had been living in an unstable home, most likely causing Nathan to become enraged and eventually snap on his mother. If I had the choice, I would sentence him the same, as an adult, and with Murder and jail time for
“Emmett Till and I were about the same age. A week after he was murdered . . . I stood on the corner with a gang of boys, looking at pictures of him in the black newspapers and magazines. In one, he was laughing and happy. In the other, his head was swollen and bashed in, his eyes bulging out of their sockets and his mouth twisted and broken.
Though, it wouldn’t have excused the most disgusting and pitiful actions taken by the Bryant family. As the town was known to be small, the incident was well known and talked upon by members of the community and family or occupants of the said store. It was on Friday August 26, Carolyn's husband Roy Bryant returned from Texas where he hauled shrimp from his trip. It was soon that a young black customer told Mr. Bryant what “the scene” was all about, and identified Emmett, who was the visiting teenager from Chicago, as the offender. Known back in that current time, he didn’t want to be labeled as a “weakling” or “coward”, he tried to seeing if he can get more information from his wife, but as she feigned ignorance, he was angered and angrily asked her to tell him her side of the story which is given later as a testimony in court.
It took them a whole month before i could go before a judge. I was sitting in my cell waiting for the correctional officer to come get me. I was ready to be outside these damn walls. Being here for over a month was killing me, I was missing out on my money and I haven't been getting no pussy. I mean there was some correctional officers that liked fucking inmates, but I didn’t feel right stepping out on Carmen

I peer intently at the man seated in front of me, his face distorted by the fluorescent lights cast down from above. I let out a huff, is this really how I’m spending my Friday night? When I was called in for an emergency questioning, I was excited. But this fool isn’t worth my time. I know I’m younger than most detectives, but I still do deserve valid cases.
