Softball is a sport of mental confidence and agility. This sport has become a huge part of my life, I fell in love with the game back when I first started playing fastpitch at the age of ten. Now the role of softball in my life has become even bigger. This summer will be the third season of m splaying year round. Playing year round gives me more opportunities to further my softball career to the collegiate level.
The Minnesota Force is a well known club team in the state of Minnesota, we have a big reputation to uphold every summer. For my team the summer season did not go as we hoped it would, it had been exhausting playing weekend after weekend. The traveling did not help, almost every weekend for two months straight we were in and out of the state. Leaving on Thursday, having to sit in the car for six to eight hours, playing through the tournament, and then heading home. We would get home Sunday night, sometimes Monday morning, and then we left again the following Thursday. …show more content…

Paul, we started out strong and got stronger as we played. We took 3rd that weekend after having to play our top Force team in the semifinals, we held our own but we were out played. Once we went out of state the competition got harder, our confidence went down, and we went on a roller coaster ride for the rest of the season. The first out of state tournament started strong and quickly headed down hill during bracket play. Day two was the start of bracket play, the heat was getting to us and many mental errors occurred, we just could not seem to get it together. There was constant miscommunication between players, simple routine pop flies and grounders were missed due to the lack of communication. Simple mistakes at the plate came up from overthinking and trying to do too
