Over the course of my life, I have come across many disadvantages, one in particular being the sport of football. Throughout my childhood, I was a very active kid, played outside all the time, and loved to play different sports. Although the sport that stuck with me the most was basketball. I spent countless hours perfecting my skills, learning different dribble patterns and different ways to finish around the basket. I loved the game of basketball and thought potentially I could play it in college, until I stepped foot on the football field for the first time in my freshman year of high school and fell in love with the sport. In football, I have eleven teammates on the field, as in basketball, I have five teammates on the court. In football, all eleven of us have to not only be on the same page but also do our own job to achieve the goal of winning games. The plays that have to be memorized are different in both football and basketball. Depending on the position that I played, I had to memorize different plays, not only what I had to do in each of the plays, but also what everyone else on my team did. I played both offense and defense in high school. Offense was not the easiest side of the ball for me, and as soon as I played defense, I knew that it was the side of the ball that I wanted to be on. Secondly, I felt at a disadvantage in learning my position. My freshman year, I started out playing on the offensive line. This spot was extremely challenging for me because I had to memorize all of the offensive plays, which way to block, and where to make gaps for the running back or quarterback to get through. I did not like this position and was not super great at it, so I quickly learned how to play on the defensive
