Personal Narrative: Hiking At Pinnacle Mountain

It all started, when my family and I decided to go hiking at Pinnacle Mountain. We never would have thought that this astonishing achievement would happen. I remember that day, like it was yesterday, the day I faced my greatest fear. Hours went by waiting for my family to finish packing our bags making sure to grab everything that we might need in case of an emergency. With at least two or three bags fully packed and glutted, we rushed out the door, into the car and off we went. We had so much fun singing in the car to random songs and cheering around. An hour or so later we finally arrived at the Pinnacle, eagerly jumping out of the car, excited to go hiking and see all of nature. Moments later somewhere in the deep wilderness, we were on our way to the top of Pinnacle, we stopped a lot along the way there. At one point we dove in the bone chilling waters, it might have been cold but it was definitely the most enjoyable time I have ever had swimming. My Family and I all gathered around the top of the mountain peak and looked at our view. It was so beautiful, like a artist had dragged it paintbrush across a canvas, creating a masterpiece. I was so amazed by the view I had totally forgot about my fear of heights. As soon as it crossed my mind I backed up against a rock and froze in fear. My parents looked back at me and asked my what was wrong. I told them that I need to get down right away. They told me that it was ok, while they were talking I started thinking about how I actually overcame my fear without even thinking. Looking back to when I overcame my fear, I learned that you can overcome fears without thinking. I overcame the largest fear in my entire life. In the future I hope to overcome more fears, and be fear
