Fighting Monsters Everybody has a monster they are fighting with, whether it is internal or external. My monster is internal; I am fighting being lazy. This is something that kills me because it causes me to get nothing done. It has affected my school, work as well as, my personal life. In order to deal with this monster, I am developing plans to defeat it. I made a list of the activities I must accomplish and fit them on to my daily routine. It has helped reduce my laziness. Each day I come up with new goals for the day, and hope to accomplish them by the end of the day. I have seen significant improvements since the beginning of the semester up to this point, and they have changed my life. There is still a part of me that is lazy and waits to the last minute to do things, but with the help of my family and friends, I am able to attend to my responsibilities as soon as possible. They help keep me alert, and make sure I do what I need to do. They are part of the reason I am beating my internal monster.
However, in order for me to actually overcome and destroy the monster, I must get rid of laziness completely. This can only be done if I focus on my goals, a make getting things done part of my daily routine, and not something I have to think about.
Overall, I have progressed and I am still working on defeating my internal monster. Even though it takes time, It will eventually be done.
