Personal Narrative: How Soccer Changed My Life

My life is surrounded by sports. Where I grew up soccer is one of the biggest sports around. So when I was four years old, my dad took me to the local soccer team and introduced me to the biggest adventure of my life. At the beginning of my adventure, the most important thing was not to win or be the best. We were practically just running around like chickens and picking up grass from the ground. There was still purpose to what we did when we got introduced to something that actually could change the way we see life. Sorunda, Stockholm City, Sweden is where I have been shaped and taught how to be the person I am today. The small town has its charm with its long narrow or wide fields. The ocean just five minutes away with the car and the Swedish archipelago. The town itself is just a little countryside town and many of the people living in the town just lives within its territory but for those who wanted more searches outside its borders. So when i started out playing soccer in my local town Sorunda it was most about the friends and just practicing for fun but after my time in elementary school my mom searched for better schools outside our small town and i got introduced to a new chapter in my life. …show more content…

In the school, they had their academy for soccer which I got introduced to a new way of playing soccer. Now I was playing to get better and achieve goals which could help me win the game. Winning the game had become my center of attention and for most of my friends to who followed me to my new school. Through my school, I got connected with a new team and coach and when I joined the team I made a goal to be able to play on the best team for my age. My goals weren't too specific, but the goals I set changed the way I saw life and made me realize what just a little more effort can
