Personal Narrative: I Wasn T The Best Cheerleader

In high school, I wasn’t the best cheerleader when I first started, but with hard work and dedication I achieved my goals.
I am Cashea Jones, and this bear represents my motivation to overcome adversity. Having this mindset helped me achieve my goals in cheerleading. Since then, it has also helped me through college.
I joined the competition cheerleading squad my junior year of high school. I conquered tryouts and was able to compete at nationals but only as a flag girl. I didn’t have the skills necessary to do all the tumbling passes, or flips as most non-cheerleaders call it. The following summer I worked harder than I ever had.
