It was a cold, dark, snowy, average Michigan morning. Wham! My bedroom door opened and my mom told me it was time to get up for school. I was hoping that we would have had a snow day with all of the snow that accumulated during the night, but we didn 't because Jenison never closes school for snow. It was such a struggle to even get out of bed! I didn 't want to leave my warm bed. Finally I got out of bed, put my school clothes on and went downstairs to eat breakfast. I looked out the window and it began to snow quite hard once again. It was getting thicker by the minute. I brushed my teeth and then I put my shoes on. I got in my truck and turned the key But, then I realized that I had forgotten to brush all of the snow off of the windshield. So I got back out and did it as it continued to snow even harder. As I began to drive I could hardly even see the cars in front of me, nor could I see the car beside of me or the car behind me I was beginning to get a little nervous. I looked at my watch and it said 7:59. I panicked because school starts at eight o 'clock on the dot. I quickly parked my busted up truck in the back of the parking lot and then I ran as fast as I could because I have never been tardy in my entire school career. I opened the door to the office breathing very heavily when Mrs. Banta gave me a weird look. I explained to her what had happened. She was shocked that all of that had happened within the last half hour.Then she wrote me a pass to first hour. In the end it sucked that my truck was totalled. I guess the best way to look at it is I didn’t get a tardy and no one was hurt or seriously injured in the crash. Even though the accident was not my fault, it reminded me and the lady who hit me to always drive cautiously, especially in bad weather such as a snowstorm or trying to stop on ice. No matter how good of a driver you are no vehicle can stop on
