Personal Narrative: My Dad Was Hard For Me

Growing up was hard for me because I was always moving from state to state. Sometimes I would just move from one school to another. I moved, because my dad was transferred for work every time. Every time I moved I had lost all of my friends, and I always had to make new friends. I have moved to four different states and lived in seven different houses. I was born in Georgia. At this time my dad was in the Navy. After my sister was born we had moved to Connecticut because, my dad was transferred. I didn’t go to school at the time, so I didn’t have that many friends. Once I got to Connecticut, I started school that year. I had so many friends. I was only four. Connecticut was so beautiful every season. My parents threw a party for me with all of my friends. We went and got our nails done, then we went swimming at the hotel we were staying at. The next day we moved. Once we got to Wyoming we stayed with my uncle. I went to the school that was in the neighborhood. I was starting first grade. I was so scared. The first day I made so many friends. The kids there were so nice. As the years went by I had moved once again, and didn’t get to see many of my friends anymore. I had only moved 30 miles away from the town. I was so excited to go to my new school because I already knew some people there and it was the same school my parents graduated from. I only got to go to that school for one year.
