Having my high school at the AP program established under SCNU was always one of my luckiest things happened to me. At here, I was trained to be priorly familiar with the U.S. education system and successful after coming to the U.S. where all the students were supposed to go. In order to be prepared, I was trained to write different kinds of essays, including laboratory report, social science research paper and literature expository writing. I have started to write all these kinds of essays since grade 10, and every writing assignment has gone through the process of outlining, drafting, peer proofreading and editing. At college, my writing style hasn’t really changed, yet, the way I write an essay has changed.
I’m a 1/10 reader I hate reading, I have never like to read i thought it was boring, and here on out I will never like to read. unless it's something I like to read then I will sit down and read like five chapters, then get bored of the book, then I'll listen to music then try to read a chapter or two. When I was at the age of 5 I had to read for 30 minutes then write about what I read. and I hated, until kindergarten the teacher read a book called Clifford . Then I love to read but when I got to middle school everyone didn't read, so I didn't want to stand out so I didn't read because I just wanted to fit in.

At the beginning of this schoolyear, I thought that I was going to go into this year and be able to breeze through this class because I could write a good essay last year and analyze stories, but I was wrong. Lit Comp Honors has been a brand-new experience for me.
I didn’t learn to read or write until I was 7 years old. I was in my second grade class and my peers and I were sitting in a circle when the teacher called on me to read. I sputtered some gibberish with a tomato red face. The only words I recognized were “it’s” “it,” and “a”- which is really just a letter.

Early in my life, I used books as an escape from the harsh reality in front of me. When I was around five years old, I was trapped in an abusive and sheltered household. When the yelling started, I used to hide under my bed and stay very quiet. I would read any book that I could find to keep my mind off what was happening around me. I made myself a safe space under my bed with a light and pillows.
Exit Essay Before fall semester started my writing skill were not the best as my high school was not as strict in writing structure. The way I write has gotten sloppy and careless but I saw some improvement this fall semester In semester in English 1301, I have relearn grammar and sentence structure.
Academically, I have taken eight college level courses and have been enrolled in mostly honors class since my freshmen year of highschool. However, I have always feel like there are numerous areas I need improvement on. One aspect I want to improve on is my writing skills. Throughout my entire highschool career, I have gotten comments that my essays contained awkward wording, confusing sentences, and poor grammar. Going forward I want to improve on my writing and have the essays read nicely.
Growing up I never focused my attention on reading and writing. I found alternate interests in playing video games and bonding with my family. My mother always forced my siblings and I to read three novels every summer, to increase our knowledge, and to expand our imaginations. It wasn’t till later in life where reading became native to me. Every event big or small, helped shape my literacy skills that I’ve achieved through my years of education.
I’ve had a very on off relationship when it comes to literacy. Up until the fifth grade I wasn’t much of a reader or writer. Then in fifth grade, we started reading really good books. Usually as a class. I found myself needing a way out of this terrible world in the sixth grade.
My history as a writer has been a bit of a struggle of slow development. From a young age I had a hard time with spelling and this is still a trouble area for me, even with the help of autocorrect. As I grew in age and as a writer my problematic area became not including enough nitty gritty details. My bad experiences that I recall would always involve the start of writing because I struggle with beginning paragraphs. Also, I tend to use the ending paragraph to just repeat myself, so overall my first and last paragraphs are usually shit.
My feelings toward writing aren 't good nor bad. Writing is something i have had difficulty with in my past. I have no problem brainstorming ideas on what topics to write my assignments on, even if i am given a prompt, but I do have difficulty with sitting down and planning my work. I always find myself getting stuck. So I almost never take the time out to plan out my ideas i come up with.
First, I liked how reading has impacted my life, and I have never really had troubles with reading, because my mother would always read to me the book called The Little Engine That Could because there was one quote that we both loved from the book, and the quote was this “I think I can.” The book called The Little Engine That Could have showed me courage and that nothing is impossible. If I struggle with reading, I cannot say I cannot do this. Instead I should say I can do this, because I can do anything if I set my mind to it. Next, from having my mother read to me
At the age of four I learned to read, and from then I became an avid reader. I fell in love with Dick and Jane, Biscuit, and all books by Dr. Seuss. I begged my mom to take me to book stores every weekend. This passion for reading continued through the years of Junie B. Jones and Judy Moody, that was until I reached middle school. Middle school was the beginning of long textbooks and the curriculum that forced you to read and interpret books in their way.
I will start with explaining why I chose the book I did. I will also go over two important aspects of the book that interested me. Such as tips to start off your day, and prioritizing your goals and accomplishments of the day. I have found two sources that Corroborate what I have read.
