“I’m downstairs waiting in the black car to the right of the doorway. After we talk can you let mom know that you are okay. She is so worried about you.” “Sure. That just what I need is to talk to a woman that I’m made at when I have no recollection of it.”
I looked around for some shoes to go with whatever I had slept in and I noticed a pair of denim looking Toms on the floor. I slipped them on and grabbing the tiny wallet that was next to the brochure I headed out the door. I decided not to lock it incase I did not have the key. I bounced down the stairs surprised that my looming headache seemed to be gone and I was almost out the door when I noticed the door man. He gave me a smile.
“Good morning Rachel. Enjoy your first night in your new apartment? You seemed in a big rush to buy it yesterday that you assured me that you made up your mind and would take it.” I stood there a little surprised. It looked like a sweet old man out of a movie but I was almost positive that I had never seen him before.
