My First Homerun It was the first game of my second season of softball and I was really excited to get back on the field to play the sport that I loved. The year before was my first year of softball and I grew very fond of the sport in such little time. I had got selected from my team to be on an All-Stars team and I wanted to get chosen again this year, but I also wanted to get better. Ever since I had started playing softball it was my dream to get a homerun and I accomplished that dream. I wasn’t very good at softball when I first started playing, in fact I would put myself down when I wasn’t as good as some of my teammates. I wanted to be one of the best players on the team so my dad would practice with me and pushed me to get better. That was a goal I had set and I didn’t stop practicing until I got better. If my dad would have never pushed me to get better I don’t think I would have the courage or the passion to play softball. That’s why I was so excited to play the sport I loved again. This event was so important to me because it taught me to have self confidence in myself, and it made me realize that when you put your mind to something you can achieve that goal. I realized that I am capable of doing anything that I want to do. If there is anything that you want to achieve, thrive for that to become real because once you achieve that dream it is the best feeling in the world.
