Individual reflection and assessment is a vital component for growing as a writer. By analyzing my own strengths and weaknesses, I can further develop the steps I should take in order to grow as a writer. Through completion of the varying assignments in English class this semester, I have a heightened perception of areas that I am strong along with areas that I need to improve. The powerful guidance of those who I sought help from in my journey to improve my writing made a positive lasting impact on my academic future. Through becoming aware of my strengths and weaknesses, endeavoring into a variety of writing styles, and implementing both what I have learned along with what I still need to improve on, I have gained skill that can elevate me to new realms of academic accomplishment.
The experiences I have taken part in this semester have allowed me to truly visualize my strengths and weaknesses as a writer, thus allowing me to develop more positive writing qualities in the near future. I am stronger in areas of grammatical structure and word choice than I once perceived myself to be. Becoming aware of these talents has given me a newfound confidence that can aid in my journey to produce enhanced writing. I have learned the value of knowing my own limits, and that outlining and following a strong thesis is vital to a powerful power. I wish that I had improved more on time management skills and critical thinking. I love to tackle challenging topics in writing but too often do I allow my insecurities to scrap my thoughts. However, since I have become aware of these factors, I know where to pick up my journey again when it is time to revisit writing in classes yet to
