For my coop work experience I have been working in two places such as at chiropractors’ office and enrollment services at Clark College. As a member of the chiropractor team I have experienced performing variety of office duties. I had the opportunity to closely interact with patients, helping them achieve the best health of their live. On a day-to-day basis, I had a chance to leverage my full range of organizational and multi-tasking skills with complete ownership over patients scheduling, office flow, documentation and other file processing. I scheduled many appointments throughout the day, greeted patients while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere confirmed with patients by making phone calls.
I learned how to adapt to the individual needs of students to provide them the best education. Like students with a communication disorder, many of my students would shy away from activities or tasks because of obstacles. Through these experiences, I watched my students gain the confidence to participate in activities and excel in academics to become successful individuals. As a future Speech Language Pathologist, many qualities that I possess can be improved by furthering my education.
I had a great experience with the interview I conducted with the high school counselor who made a positive impact in my life, Mr. Rios. Through our conver-sations, I gain more insight of his roles as a school counselor. What Mr. Rios shared with me in regards to his duties allowed me to have a better understanding if I could see myself in his position. Although I originally wanted to become an el-ementary school teacher, being in Mr. Rios’s office where students came into his office and would walk by just to say bye as they left school made me smile. At that moment, I was able to clearly see into my future and myself as a high school counselor.
All of my experience has led me to my academics today and I feel the capability to do so amongst my passion for this rewarding

As I think about my background, many factors have contributed in shaping who I am today. Throughout my life, I have been fortunate enough to have a supportive family and friend group that have been by my side to teach and help me develop as I have experienced life. They have been people that I have learned and have never stopped learning from. In addition, different places and events that I have experienced have also had an influence on the person I am. All of these things have played a role in shaping my private culture, operating culture, and the syncretism that has occurred.
Three years ago I started a small television class but, little did I know that the class and the teacher would change not only my life but help show me what I am destined for in the future. My first year in television production, I was just a tiny, nervous, sophomore in high school. At the time I was just generally uncomfortable with people, I feared what people thought about me and I feared that any slip up would be the end for me. That year I met David Small, not only was he the television teacher, he was a mentor.

Please describe an event or moment in your life that taught you the most about your career. I was engaged for a very challenging assignment. I thought I knew how to write an Inception Report [LAUGHS]. An Inception Report sets out to demonstrate to the Client how you are going to carry out the tasks. After the first draft of the Inception Report, one member to the Reference Group was not satisfied with my report.
I first wanted to become a teacher, but later found after volunteering in a classroom that although I love children, that it was not for me and I was again on the hunt to find where I belonged and where I could see myself in the future. I was taking a Political Science class and found that it really interested me and I was always wanting to learn more information. For that class I needed to complete some field work hours inside a court room. I went inside a court room for the first time, intending to watch two to three cases and then leaving in order to complete my needed hours.
I also participated in a blood donation scheme and visited the old folks home. These experienced confirmed my calling and my passion for dentistry and I am sure that this will motivate me to strive the next goal in my journey of education. I am a very disciplined individual. I plan my paths and set my goals so that I am motivated in achieving them. In addition to that, I am also determined and I am willing to work the extra mile in achieving everything I want to achieve.
When I was 16 years old, I had decided that I wanted to be a doctor but I had not decided what branch of biology I wanted to do. I had faith in my belief that I wanted to be a doctor and I had the confidence and motivation to do it. This faith I had in myself, really pushed me to excel in biology as I knew that I enjoyed biology and in the future I wanted a job associated with it. The knowledge I acquired in my class had so much meaning and purpose in my personal life because I had faith in my decision to be a doctor and pursue that as a career.
To be honest, most of the time in my life I felt so lost since I had no idea what my dream would be, who would I become in the future. But there is one thing that I am sure of, that my determine and inquisitive mind would help me find out my passion and pursue it with my best. My life changed through two big periods of time, which were my years in high school, when I found my life’s goal, and when I acknowledge exactly what I should be during my time in National Economics University. The time at high school was a one of my most crucial life milestones.
I used to not take advantage of the opportunities given to me. However, after hearing the stories and troubles that my parents have faced, I realized that I had to take the initial steps towards completing my goals and dreams. Consequently, I’ve immersed myself into what I do as it helps me grow as a person and take the first leaps towards achieving my goals/dreams. I’ve been exposed to science my entire life, an intriguing subject with mystery. Ever since I was little, my main desire/goal has been to pursue a career in the science field.
